Goddard Advocates for Public Education host school funding update

Goddard Advocates for Public Education will be hosting a special presentation Thursday, April 21 at 7 p.m. at the Goddard Community Center, 121 N. Main Street. Guest speaker Attorney John Robb, a trial attorney on the Gannon school finance lawsuit, will answer, “Where we go from here?” addressing the latest information on school funding and policy issues that are before the legislature and courts. Robb will cover important topics including school finance and the new school funding formula proposal. 

An active school attorney, Robb has distinguished himself in the area of school finance litigation and negotiations as well as day-to-day advice for school administrators and Boards. Somers, Robb & Robb serves as General Counsel for Schools for Fair Funding, Inc., a Kansas non-profit corporation composed of school districts interested in Kansas school finance issues. SFFF is the umbrella organization that is currently sponsoring the Gannon vs. State of Kansas school finance lawsuit.
